Intelligent Transportation Systems
At SCALA, we lead research in Intelligent Transportation Systems to address the growing demands of urban mobility. Our work advances multi-agent traffic control, cloud-native architectures, autonomous vehicles, and digital twins to provide real-world solutions for next-generation transportation.
Multi-Agent Simulations & Digital
Twins
We pursue research in multi-agent simulation systems to model and analyze complex, dynamic, and unpredictable environments. Our ongoing work includes the development of an advanced traffic simulation platform and a generic framework for creating application-specific simulations that deliver real-world insights.
Smart Campus
At SCALA, we lead the Smart UTD Campus Initiative, aimed at transforming the university into a living laboratory for sensor-based, intelligent services. Students at all levels contribute to developing smart solutions that enhance the daily experience of students, faculty, and staff.
