Dr Wenkstern receives the CS Department TTIP Award

Dr. Wenkstern receives the CS Department Translational Technology, Innovation and Partnership Award (December 2025), an annual department award given to one faculty member for contributions that strengthen technology translation, innovation, and external partnerships.

Our team receives the SMART 20 Award!

Our project, “A Multi Modal Cyber Traffic Infrastructure for Sustainable Mobility,” developed in collaboration with the City of Richardson, receives a Smart 20 Award and is selected as one of three overall winners among the global pool of Smart 20 awardees. The Smart 20 Awards recognize innovative municipal scale smart cities projects internationally, spanning efforts led by cities, public agencies, and industry. Being recognized alongside initiatives from around the world is an honor for our team. Congratulations to everyone involved, with special recognition to Behnam Torabi and Chikadibia Ihejimba for their contributions.

Dr. Wenkstern receives the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award

Dr. Wenkstern receives the Jonsson School Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award (April 2024). This award is presented each year to one faculty member across the UT Dallas Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science in recognition of excellence in graduate teaching.
